Classification of brazing processing methods

After the 1930s, with the continuous progress of metallurgy and chemical technology, brazing technology has made great progress and gradually become an independent industrial production and processing technology. At the same time, there are many kinds of brazing methods, and their applications are more and more extensive. At present, there are mainly flame brazing and furnace brazing.

Classification of brazing processing methods brought by electric heating equipment:

1) According to the classification of solder melting point: when the melting point (or liquidus) is lower than 450 ℃, it is called soldering, and when its temperature is higher than 450 ℃, it is called brazing.

2) According to the type of heating source and heating mode, it can be divided into flame brazing, furnace brazing, induction brazing, resistance brazing, arc brazing, impregnation brazing, infrared brazing, laser brazing, gas phase brazing, soldering iron brazing and ultrasonic brazing.

3) According to the types of connected substrates: aluminum brazing, stainless steel brazing, ceramic brazing, composite brazing, copper brazing, etc.

4) According to the environment medium difference way classification: gas protection brazing, vacuum brazing and so on.

5) According to the way of removing the oxide film on the substrate surface, it is classified as flux brazing, flux free brazing and self flux brazing.
