Controlled atmosphere heat treatment

In order to achieve the purpose of no oxidation, no decarburization or carbon addition as required, the heat treatment in the furnace with controllable furnace gas composition is called controlled atmosphere heat treatment. It is mainly to prevent oxidation, decarburization and other phenomena when the workpiece is heated, so as to improve the surface quality of the workpiece. It is mainly used for carburizing, carbonitriding, soft nitriding, quenching in protective atmosphere, annealing, etc.

Controllable atmosphere is the atmosphere required by mixing fuel gas (natural gas, city gas, propane) with air in a certain proportion, passing into the generator for heating, or making gas by its own combustion reaction, or dropping liquid organic compounds, such as methanol, ethanol, acetone, etc., into the heat treatment furnace.
