The chuck fixture of lathe mainly refers to the fixture installed on the lathe spindle. This kind of fixture is connected with the machine tool spindle and drives the workpiece to rotate with the spindle.
Lathe chuck fixture is mainly divided into two categories: all kinds of chucks, which are suitable for the processing of disc parts and short shaft parts; the fixture for installing workpiece with center hole and center center center, which is suitable for shaft parts with large length or more processing procedures. CNC turning requires that the fixture should have high positioning accuracy and rigidity, simple structure, strong versatility, easy to install the fixture on the machine tool and quickly load and unload the workpiece, automation and other characteristics.
1. All kinds of chuck fixture in CNC lathe processing, most of the situation is to use the workpiece or blank of the outer circle positioning, the following several kinds of fixtures are based on the circumference of the fixture. A kind of
Three jaw chuck
(1) characteristics of three jaw chuck: three jaw chuck is the most commonly used universal fixture of lathe. The biggest advantage of three jaw chuck is that it can automatically center, has a large clamping range and fast clamping speed, but there is error in centering accuracy, which is not suitable for the secondary clamping of workpieces with high requirements of coaxiality. In order to prevent the machining quality from being affected by the deformation and vibration of the workpiece during turning, the overhanging length of the workpiece should not be too long when it is clamped in the three jaw self centering chuck.
For example, if the diameter of the workpiece is ≤ 30mm, the overhanging length should not be greater than 3 times of the diameter; if the diameter of the workpiece is > 30mm, the overhanging length should not be greater than 4 times of the diameter. At the same time, it can also prevent the workpiece from being bent and dropped by the turning tool. A kind of
(2) jaw: CNC lathe has two kinds of commonly used standard chuck claws, which are hard jaw and soft jaw.
2. When the claw is clamped on a rough surface, such as a casting or rough bar surface, a hard jaw is used. Generally, in order to ensure the rigidity and wear resistance, the hard claw should be heat treated with high hardness. When it is necessary to reduce the diameter runout deviation of two or more parts, and when the machined table does not want to have clamp marks, soft jaws should be used. The soft claw is usually made of low carbon steel. Before use, the soft claw should be bored to match the workpiece to be processed. The biggest characteristic of the soft claw clamping is that the workpiece can still maintain a certain position accuracy after many times clamping.
