Why are air filters, oil and water separators used at the air source end in pneumatic circuits
As for the air 2113 filter (oil-water separator) represented in the pneumatic circuit, 5261 is 4102 which filters out the water, oil, gas and dust impurities in the compressed air 1653 from the air source end, and plays an air purification role for the subsequent pneumatic system (loop). Because the main components of the filter are water and gas, it is also called oil-water separator.
The oil-water separator will normally be followed by a pressure reducing valve (pressure regulating valve) and perhaps an oil mist preventer.
The three components in the pneumatic circuit are: oil-water filter (filter compressed air), pressure-reducing valve (to regulate pressure through gas), oil-mist device (to atomize lubricating oil), these three functions as one of the air source purification treatment components.
