Introduction and characteristics of pit furnace

Well furnace looks down like a well, so it is called well furnace. The workpiece is vertically loaded into the furnace by a special crane for heating. The furnace cover can be opened and closed by traveling crane, manual lifting rod or electric hydraulic lifting.

Well furnace is a periodic operation furnace, which is suitable for heat treatment of rod and long shaft parts. The structure of the shaft furnace is: the shaft is a cylindrical deep well, and the workpiece is vertically loaded into the furnace by a special crane for heating. The fuels used are usually gas and fuel oil. When electricity is the heat source, it is called well resistance furnace. Well type furnace is generally placed below the ground level of the workshop, and some are above or below the ground level. The names of well furnace are: forced convection well furnace, natural convection well furnace, well gas carburizing furnace, etc.

The pit furnace can be heated by gas or liquid fuel or by electricity. When using gas fuel, there are usually several small energy burners installed along the tangential direction of the furnace inner wall, which are evenly arranged in layers or spirals in height, so as to avoid the flame directly scouring the workpiece and ensure the temperature uniformity in the furnace. When it is used for low temperature tempering or using oil as fuel, a thin muffle wall is built in the furnace to separate the combustion space from the heating space. However, the well type furnace with muffle wall has higher fuel consumption.

Most of the small well furnaces are electric heating, and most of them are equipped with special metal muffle pots, which can be used for gas carburizing, nitriding, carbonitriding and bright annealing. In areas with sufficient power supply, or large-scale well furnace which requires temperature control, electric energy is more suitable.

1. The electric furnace is equipped with large fan to improve the temperature uniformity in the furnace;

2. The furnace is divided into multi zone control to further improve the furnace temperature uniformity;

3. The furnace is equipped with stainless steel wind guide barrel;

4. The furnace cover is opened and closed by crane or automatic hydraulic opening and closing mechanism with guide column to ensure the smooth opening and closing of furnace cover;

5. The furnace cover and furnace body are made of high temperature resistant fiber cotton, with good heat preservation performance, energy saving and production cost reduction;

6. Good environmental protection, no pollution.
