Industrial oil pollutants
Pollutants and impurities enter the industrial oil during storage and operation. The most common pollutants are:
1. Water;
2. Solid particles;
3. Gas;
4. Asphalt resin paraffin deposit;
5. Acid;
6. Oily sludge;
7. Organometallic compounds;
8. Unsaturated hydrocarbons;
9. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs);

Oil purification methods
Industrial oil is purified by precipitation, filtration, centrifugation, vacuum treatment and adsorption purification.
Sedimentation is the deposition of solid particles and water to the bottom of the tank under the action of gravity. The main disadvantage of this process is its lifetime.
Filtration is the partial removal of solid particles through the filter medium. Oil filtration systems usually use multi-stage filtration with coarse and fine filters.
Centrifugation is the separation of oil and water, or oil and solid particles, by centrifugal force.
Vacuum treatment of degassed and dehydrated industrial oils. This method is very suitable for removing dispersed and dissolved water and dissolved gases.
Compared with the above methods, adsorption purification can not remove solid particles and gases, but it shows good results in the removal of water, sludge and aging products. The process uses natural or artificial adsorbents: bleaching clay, synthetic aluminosilicate, silica gel, zeolite, etc.
The difference between purification and regeneration of industrial oil
In general, the terms "oil purification" and "oil regeneration" are used synonymously. Although in fact they are not the same. Oil purification can remove grease from pollutants. It can be used alone or as part of oil regeneration. Oil regeneration also removes aged products (with the help of adsorbents) and stabilizes the oil with additives. The regenerated oil is clean to the aging carcinogenic products of oil and is stable with the help of additives.
