Precautions for use of well type atmosphere furnace

The shaft of the well type atmosphere furnace is cylindrical, which is usually installed underground. In order to facilitate safe operation, 500-800mm is reserved above the ground plane. Looking down is like a well, so it is called a well type atmosphere furnace. The workpiece is vertically loaded into the furnace by a special crane for heating. The opening and closing of furnace cover can be lifted by traveling crane, manual lever or electric hydraulic pressure.

Well type atmosphere furnace is a periodic operation furnace, which is suitable for the heat treatment of rod and long shaft parts. The structure of the well type atmosphere furnace is: the furnace body is a cylindrical deep well, and the workpiece is vertically loaded into the furnace by a special crane for heating. The fuel used is usually gas and fuel oil. When electricity is used as heat source, it is called well resistance furnace. The well type atmosphere furnace is generally installed below the workshop ground level, or above the ground level, or half above and half below the ground level. The names of well type atmosphere furnace include: forced convection well type atmosphere furnace, natural convection well type atmosphere furnace, well type gas carburizing furnace, etc.

Precautions for use of well type atmosphere furnace

1) Check the limit switch close to the furnace door or furnace cover of the well type atmosphere furnace to ensure that the main circuit is powered off after the furnace door or furnace cover is started.

2) Before using the well type atmosphere furnace, the power connector shall be in good contact and the insulation of power line shall meet the requirements.

3) The gas flowmeter and pressure gauge equipped for the control atmosphere resistance furnace shall indicate accurately and sensitively.

4) The resistance furnace with inflammable atmosphere shall be equipped with alarm and necessary interlock device with furnace temperature lower than 760 ° C to avoid explosion.

5) The grounding bolt of furnace body shall be firm and reliable.

6) The water temperature, water pressure and flow relay shall be installed for the well type air furnace with water cooling. In case of any abnormality, the main circuit power supply shall be cut off and an alarm signal shall be sent.

7) The explosion-proof safety device of the control atmosphere furnace shall be flexible and reliable.

8) The exposed electric heating body outside the furnace shell shall be provided with a safe and reliable protective cover.
