Working principle and product characteristics
When the air pressure increases, the carbon molecular sieve will adsorb a large amount of oxygen, carbon dioxide and water. When the pressure is reduced to normal pressure, the adsorption capacity of carbon molecular sieve for oxygen, carbon dioxide and water is very small.
PSA equipment is mainly composed of a and B adsorption tower with carbon molecular sieve and control system. When compressed air (pressure is generally 0.8MPa) passes through tower a from bottom to top, oxygen, carbon dioxide and water are absorbed by carbon molecular sieve, while nitrogen is passed through and flows out from the top of tower. When the molecular sieve in tower a is saturated, it will switch to Tower B for the above adsorption process and regenerate the molecular sieve of tower a at the same time. The so-called regeneration refers to the process that the gas in the adsorption tower is discharged to the atmosphere, so that the pressure is rapidly reduced to normal pressure, and the oxygen, carbon dioxide and water adsorbed by the molecular sieve are released from the molecular sieve. PSA nitrogen plant technology is a high-tech energy-saving separation technology which can directly produce nitrogen from air at room temperature. It has been applied for decades.
This series of plant has the advantages of compact equipment, small floor area, automatic operation, reliable operation, fast start-up and stop, low operation cost (only 0.35 yuan / m3) and small amount of production and maintenance at normal temperature. Nitrogen purity and nitrogen output can be properly adjusted without environmental pollution.
