Special drying machine for sludge

Blade dryers are widely used globally for drying a wide range of sludge, biomass and by-products to produce dry and stable products, reduce treatment costs, and convert waste into marketable by-products.

Double reverse rotating shafts with unique meshing wedge blades produce uniform heating and high heat transfer rates. A compact machine can be made by using hollow blades for heat transfer. Blade dryer adopts steam or circulating hot fluid (hot oil) indirect heating, thermal efficiency is about 98%. There are few non-condensable gases in the sludge drying equipment that may need to deal with odors. 

The objectives of the process include:

1. Dry solids up to 90% (99+% if needed)

2. It is conducive to the reuse of sludge

3. Intermediate drying of composting or combustion

4. Reduce processing costs

5. Produce stable and marketable by-products

6. Increase fuel value

7. Reprocess the residues and tailings

8. Removal of harmful Volatile organic compounds (thermal desorption)

Equipment features:

1. Compact structure, small floor space, few auxiliary equipment, saving investment and operation cost.

2. Adopting conduction heating, the heat transfer area is large, the heat loss is small, and the heat utilization rate can reach more than 90%.

3, wedge blade has self-cleaning ability, can maintain efficient heat transfer function.

4. The drying degree and particle size of the sludge are even after drying.

5. High adjustable drying process, easy to operate and control.

6. The dried sludge contains high calorific value and organic ingredients, which is a renewable resource with utilization value and meets the requirements of environmental protection.

Design optimization and improvement of the system

4. Secondary utilization of steam.

Note: The axial structure of gaseous medium blade dryer and liquid medium blade dryer is different, so it should be put forward when selecting equipment.
