The device consists of a power transformer, an electrified chuck and a machine tool. The two electrode chuck are clamped at both ends of the adjacent position of the intended heating part, and the workpiece is heated at that part with a large current of low voltage. The chucks are of fixed type and sliding type. Some loaders use two rollers instead of collet, two rollers to press the workpiece, rolling in parallel. Heat the workpiece between the rollers. This heating device is simple in structure and high in thermal efficiency. It is widely used in ordinary electric heating of steel wire and steel.
