1800c vacuum muffle furnace heating elements
1800c vacuum muffle furnace heating elements
Molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heating element is a resistance generate-heating component made from MoSi2 or the basic material. It is used in high temperature under the oxidizing atmosphere, it looks like glass in its surface and form a light SiO2 glass film which can protect the element not to be oxidized. So this kind of element has unique effect for resisting oxidization in the high temperature. It is used to the highest temperature up to 1800C during oxidizing atmosphere. According to your request, our company can produce the products of Pole, "U", "W" and "U"-right angle shapes, etc.

The Physical Properties of Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element
Operation of Furnace
1. Drying of Furnace
The new built furnace or the furnace that haven't been used for a long time should be dried before use.The drying temperature
generally is 100°C-200°C. The element used for a long time under low temperature will cause oxidation. For the small size
furnace, as its drying time is short, several hours will have small impact on the element. For large size furnace, as the drying
time is long, it had better use other heating elements to dry furnace. Had better open the furnace gate to make it ventilated.
The gate may be half open with the rising of temperature and fully closed when the temperature rises above 1000°C.
2. Notice to Furnace Operation
To avoid high current surges which may cause damage to MoSi2 Heating Elements, the recommend starting procedure
as following:
Small Furnace (Power <100KW) | Big Furnace (Power 100KW-500KW) | ||
Furnace Temperature .C | Voltage | Furnace Temperature .C | Voltage |
20-150 | 1/3 Working Voltage | 20-300 | 1/3 Working Voltage |
150-500 | 2/3 Working Voltage | 300-700 | 1/3 Working Voltage |
500-Working Temperature | Full Working Voltage | 700-working Temperature | Full Working Voltage |
Replacement of Element
If it is found that one element is damaged during operation, you should determine where it is and prepare one made
up element simultanously. Then loose the screw which links the lead wire of the damaged element and the bus, clear
out the ceramic cotton and pull out the throughbrick. Afterward, insert the new element from the furnace top, link the lead
wire, block the gap with ceramic cotton and start rising temperature.
