Armored thermocouple
1、 Overview
Armored thermocouple has the advantages of bending, high pressure resistance, fast thermal response time and durability. It is the same as assembly thermocouple and thermal resistance. As a sensor for measuring temperature, it is usually used together with display instrument, recorder and electronic regulator, and it can also be used as the temperature sensing element of assembly thermocouple. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam, gas medium and solid surface in the range of 0 ℃ ~ 1300 ℃ in various production processes.
Armored thermocouples, like general industrial thermocouples, are matched with display instruments to automatically detect or adjust the surface temperature of gas, liquid medium or solid within a certain range of use.
2、 How it works
Armored thermocouple is a circuit formed by welding two ends of two different components of conductor. The direct temperature measuring end is called the measuring end, and the terminal is called the reference end. When there is a temperature difference between the measuring end and the reference end, a thermal current will be generated in the circuit. When the display instrument is connected, the corresponding temperature value of the thermoelectric EMF generated by the thermocouple will be indicated on the instrument.
The thermoelectric EMF of armored thermocouple will increase with the temperature of the measuring end. The magnitude of thermoelectric EMF is only related to the conductor material of armored thermocouple and the temperature difference between the two ends, and has nothing to do with the length and diameter of thermoelectric pole.
The structure of armored thermocouple is made of conductor, insulating magnesium oxide and 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel protective tube. The armored thermocouple products are mainly composed of junction box, terminal block and armored thermocouple, and equipped with various installation and fixing devices. Armored thermocouple is divided into two types: insulation type and shell type.
The explosion-proof armored thermocouple uses the principle of gap explosion-proof to design the junction box and other components with sufficient strength to seal all the components that will produce sparks, arcs and dangerous temperatures in the junction box cavity. When the cavity explodes, it can extinguish and cool through the gap of the joint surface, so that the flame and temperature after explosion cannot be transmitted outside the cavity, so as to carry out explosion-proof.
3、 Characteristics of armored thermocouple

2). Insulation resistance at room temperature
The insulation resistance between the sheathing couple and the outer sleeve is not less than 1000m Ω. M when the ambient temperature is 20 ± 15 ℃, the relative humidity is not more than 80%, and the test voltage is 500 ± 50V (DC). That is to say, the insulation resistance of 1m long sample is 1000m Ω; the insulation resistance of 10m long sample is 100m Ω.

4). Thermal response time τ 0.5
When the temperature changes in a step, the time required for the output of the thermocouple to change to 50% of the change in the step is called the thermal corresponding time, which is expressed by τ 0.5.
